Wake up a minute from the ocean. Cape Whale is a bright, newly renovated first-floor condo in the modern addition behind Cape May's historic Baronet Mansion — you get all-new construction and a quieter setting off Beach Avenue, plus use of the mansion's classic rocking-chair porch. Step-free entry, no stairs — perfect for a couple's getaway with your dog along. The open kitchen–living space has a new kitchen with dishwasher and stainless appliances, a 4-person dining table, a smart TV, and two comfy lounge chairs to relax in. The cozy bedroom has a king bed, a second smart TV, walk-in closet, and a laptop desk for quiet remote work. Both rooms have AC and heat with direct access to the bathroom (tub/shower combo). Beach made easy: we include 2 beach tags, 2 beach chairs, and an umbrella — plus a free parking spot and an outdoor shower for sandy feet. Park once and don't touch the car: the beach is across the street, and restaurants, shops, and mini golf are a short stroll.

Other Details to Note

We provide sheets, linens, and towels as well as Shampoo and Conditioner. Please bring your own beach towels. The shared coin-operated laundry is available from April 1 through October 30. Please note that this unit is at the addition to the historic building. Open fires are not permitted and smoking is strictly prohibited on the premises. Kindly keep all personal belongings inside to ensure there is ample space for everyone to access their condos comfortably. We’re happy to host your well-behaved furry friend. However, we kindly ask you to keep any pets off the furniture, including the bed. Rest assured, your stay will be safe and comfortable—this home is deep-cleaned, and all high-touch surfaces are thoroughly disinfected before your arrival.

The condo is located in the historic district in Cape May. The historic district was designated a National Historic Landmark on May 11, 1976, and is a showcase of late-Victorian-era architecture. Take your camera on a stroll through town to capture beautiful preserved buildings from the 1800s.

You have access to the entire condo as well as the joint porch and joint laundry.
